The Austin Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Austin Police Department through volunteerism and community activities.


Mission Statement

To bring together graduates of the Austin Citizen Police Academy in order to enhance the relations between the community, city leaders, the Austin Police Department, and other local law enforcement agencies.



  • Austin CPAAA was organized in 1987 after the first CPA class graduated
  • Several CPA graduates and Alumni members have gone on to become Austin Police Officers
  • Austin CPAAA hosted National CPAAA Conventions in 2004 and 2007
  • Instrumental in establishing the Central Texas Region CPAAA in May 2002
