ACPAAA Helps with Tip a Cop for Special Olympics

On the evening of July 24, representatives of CPAAA participated with the Austin Police Department in raising funds for the Austin chapter of Special Olympics of Texas.  Throughout the state, Texas Roadhouse restaurants provided SOTX the opportunity to conduct the annual Tip a Cop event at their restaurants.  APD officers, UTPD officers, and Travis County Sheriff’s deputies teamed with the athletes to serve diners at two locations in Austin and collected donations while meeting and talking with customers about Special Olympics.  Customers made donations and purchased SOTX shirts throughout the evening, while enjoying the food and fun at the restaurant.  Photo shows participants at the North Hwy. 183 location of Texas Roadhouse.
