Sergeant-At-Arms Ian Hoffman presents the Alumni Association and its activities at the opening session of the 81st ACPA class.
One of the largest classes assembled for an APD CPA Class will kick off the second Tuesday in September under the direction of Officer Surei Scanlon, with special address and welcome by Chief Art Acevedo and presentation by APD Chaplain Rick Randall. Austin CPAAA Board Member Ian Hoffman will offer information on the local Alumni Association, and discuss activities, volunteer opportunities, and membership. The Association is providing a full meal and drinks to the class for their first meeting. A big thank you to Hoboken Pies for donating the pizza and salad for the meal! Drinks and dessert are being provided by the Austin CPAAA. In addition, the Association provided three-ring binders and note paper for the Class Agenda and Materials. Members of the Association attend the CPA classes throughout the session and provide the reception at the graduation ceremony.
